Went there to euthanize one of our pets. Very difficult time but all staff including Dr Montes were very comforting. Dr Montes explained everything. He let us stay with our pet Angel until we were ready to let go!

Staff was nice and caring. Doctor was great. She is upfront about cost, non-judmental, honest, and really took the time to explain things.

Doctors are ALWAYS wonderful and professional. However, getting reception to deliver messages timely is a problem. I had to call 3 times in one day and talk to 3 different receptionists to make them understand my dog needed to see the doctor for a follow up visit asap, not next week.

This place shouldn't be an animal clinic if they can't take no new patients I which I find is ridiculous so don't bother with this place

Always CARING. They are always 30 days out for Annual exams and we'll checks so I always plan a head. I love that they have emergency appointments each morning just make sure you call at 730 because as I found out those same day sick appt. go fast. The service is the best I've seen. From the front receptionist to the technicians to the doctors this clinic is right on track.

Dr. Schaffer is awesome. Shes very knowledgeable and informative. She’s helping my pup who got valley fever this summer. This clinic is always trying to help and accommodate, and make us feel like our dog’s health is important to them. I’ve had to go in for an emergency visit and they helped me out and squeezed me in. Also our dog does NOT like strangers and all staff has been very patient about it and try not to disturb him which we appreciate.

UPDATE: was 5 stars, but had to lose them based on being given the wrong blood test results. $100.00 for everything is in normal range. Which would have been great if it were true. No notes had been inserted in my dogs file and nothing the Dr. said were my options, occurred. Any animal hospital should automatically send you a jpeg or pdf of labs. My good vets entered notes immediately so staff could follow up. This office is not a integrative office which is what I am looking for and one that is more technologically up to date would be great, but a deal breaker is wrong results. I want a doc that says let's see why these are changing. Not, let's wait for them to get further out of range. That makes zero sense. Let me make this clear as the office doesn't understand. I am not worried about the out of range results. I am unhappy that they did not consider how far they slipped from the baseline. Any changes are indicators. That is what a baseline is for. I believe in actively looking for sources of changes. I never said it was an indicator of disease. I don't think arthritis is a disease either, there is a source and I will find it and reverse it. That is why as dr. Montes says, her blood work is beautiful. The average pet owner who throws kibble in a bowl and never takes into account the dogs needs might be okay with this as they will just say okay thanks and never look further. This is where all the gushing 5 stars is coming from. All medicine has come down to a pill, a shot or a device. Very few know how to heal or prevent. I will keep looking. . I don't know if Dr. Montez even read the results. He gives you time to talk, but doesn't discuss results with you. I told the receptionist I was coming in for a blood test and she said, "the doctor will decide what tests to run". I don't care to be treated like that by a receptionist. The doc can add any tests he sees fit but I wanted a blood test and she could have said then hold her food for 12 hours. She should know stuff like that.. I had recommended them and had to call and let them know what happened. They were disappointed too.

This is the best animal hospital I have ever been to, and I am a VERY tough critic. I have a geriatric pup with very bad arthritis. After last last visit to a clinic where they were very less than gentle with him (it was bad) … he’s been guarding. He wouldn’t even let me pet him for over a month. It took time to build trust after 12 years with my dog. The doctor at Caring Hearts had a plan of action with his examination and my guy was out for the count. The blood count that is (enjoy the pun). I’m so grateful for the team there and ESPECIALLY the doctor. He didn’t give up on a tough exam and is one of the most calm and knowledgeable doctors I have ever encountered. Think Cesar Milan meets Dr. Oz. This guy is the real deal.

I took my cat back in for an X-ray as she has a limp in her left elbow. And they did subpar X-ray which Dr. Schafer on Monday. I have had to keep my cat contained and a cat carrier for five days. I was told by Dr. Schafer while I was in the office for my visit and paid $240 for that if it gets worse to bring her back in and they would sedate her and do better x-rays for no charge. When I came in this morning which was Friday morning I was completely dismayed that they were going to charge me $94 to sedate her for the x-ray. I mentioned to the technician that this is not what we discussed between the doctor and I asked her several times if I could talk to the doctor that request was ignored. Very frustrated as I’ve been with this practice for years and had my dog going here when the practice first opened. Caring hearts more like caring about money. This practice has changed and not for the betterment for animals and their owners. I was absolutely beside myself and extremely frustrated by the time I left. They Band-Aid fixed it by giving my cat some more pain medicine - In which I had to pay for. The least they could’ve done was give it to me for free. The thing I loathe the most is being lied too And then they tried to gaslight me on what their understanding was when I know my truth and I know what I was told I even asked the doctor for clarification for the worst case coming back in to the clinic. Completely inexcusable and uncomfortable situation with poor unethical customer service. Now I am looking for a new vet so any suggestions please oblige. Thank you.
