From Daniel Johnson. From start to “finish” the care and compassion shown by all staff members and the Vets that cared for my fur baby Jasmine was second to none… truly outstanding. Every issue was thoroughly explained as were our options …

Brought my puppy in lastnight for his gums being pale and they told me he most likely had worms… so they gave him some dewormer and sent us home with 3 more doses. He died this morning. Don’t understand why they would send him home… obviously something was wrong. Don’t recommend this place.

I found a dog in the street, I took her in and they came out and check the dog for a microchip, unfortunately the dog didn't have one. They didn't charge anything to check the dog. Great service and friendly. On a happy note, found the dog owners!!????????

Had an emergency medical issue with my cat and ended up needing to put her down, but the staff was very nice and considerate given the situation. I was referred here by another clinic who didn’t have room and thankfully they had room, the head vet knew what she was doing and made the experience as calm as possible for me.

Tried to get my cat in for blood in the urine and was told they weren’t taking anymore animals. I’ve called every emergency vet and no one will help.

Blue Pearl killed my Yorkie and they don't care. Do NOT take your pet to these butchers. It's a billing mill- no one there cares about your pet, and no one is held accountable when your pet dies through negligence or medical malpractice. Blue Pearl is a billing mill/franchise owned by the massive corporate conglomerate, Mars, Inc- which also owns everything from Snickers candy bars to Pedigree (garbage) dog food. My beautiful 7-year old Yorkie Bella choked on a chunk of a dried turkey tendon. I was playing with her when it happened- I watched her break a chunk of the chewy off and spit it out. I reached for it to take it away, so naturally Bella snatched it up and swallowed- and immediately began choking. I whisked her up, got in the car and drove straight to Blue Pearl. I told them what happened. They took her back into the treatment area. An hour later, Dr. Moezzi came in and told me that Bella's condition was 'grave' but it was unlikely her respiratory problem was related to the chunk of chewy I watched her choke on. They put her for 24 hours of hell. They put her into a damaged, leaking oxygen crate and let her suffer. They took x-rays and told me her airway had collapsed due to a congential defect. I knew this was wrong. I knew she had a chunk of dried turnkey tendon lodged in her throat, but they all refused to listen to me. Erica, Dr. Moezzi and Dr. Nelson all told me she had a collapsed airway due to a congenital defect and that she couldn't be saved. 24 hours later Dr. Amos came on shift, looked at Bella's scans, and realized the collapsed trachea was 'dynamic'- her airway opened when her body position changed. He decided to try to save her. Saving her required putting her under general anesthesia and intubating her. When they tried to put the tube in her airway, it jammed- against a chunk of dried turkey tendon. Bella choked to death, slowly and horribly, over a period of 24 hours- and at her death we learned she was, in fact, choking to death on a chunk of dried turkey tendon- just like I told them after all. If Erica, Dr. Moezzi and Dr. Nelson had listened to me, and made the attempt to assess and clear her airway, Bella would be alive and healthy today. No one at Blue Pearl cares about your animal. They're a billing mill. Take your pet ANYWHERE else- find a pet ER owned and operated by a local veterinarian.

staff is horrible. tech with dog paw tattoos doesn't know how to communicate anything. young girl in the front is careless and doesn't know how to answer simple questions. NEVER bring your dogs here. they won't care for them one bit. this place deserves to be shut down. I should have read reviews before taking my dog in. save yourself a headache and find a better location people!!!! -5 stars from me.

Emergency services for my 15 year old female dog. Exceptional service start to finish. Worked me in even though bookings were full 21 Dec. Left pet 4 hours for assessment. Doctor called me and we laid out an emergency treatment plan. Exceptional service and more than fair cost. Tried before 4 other places and no luck. Rotational Doctor - Dr Lynn, the best!

Please, Please, Please don’t ever, take your pet in need to this facility! My dog had diarrhea for 2 days, but seemed to be turning a new leaf today. However this evening he took a turn for the worst and became lethargic! My husband & son took our puppy to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital due to the hospital being the closest 24 hour emergency vet. Our poor puppy started to decline on the ride to the hospital! Upon arrival to the Blue Pearl Pet hospital the staff did take our puppy rite away, but asked for $650.00 up front. My husband asked if they had a payment plan or further options as this was obviously unplanned (as all emergencies are) We would have spent the world to save him! Their response was, “No we do not offer any payment plans and you will have to talk to the Doctor now for further options!” The doctor came in and asked “If the payment has been made in full ?” The Doctor also, stated that recessitaion will not continue until the treatment has been paid in full”. My husband asked again if he could put money down and make a payment plan or if there were any other options. He was denied! The Doctor told my husband they will not try to revive him, until the payment was received! The staff later came in and stated that they can do a payment plan under a form of credit…. (Called care credit) My husband said yes, that is exactly what I’ve been asking for, but before I proceed what is the status of my dog? The staff member stated that they would check. When She came back she stated that he has passed…. The staff member immediately asked “If we would like cremation with remains, cremation with no remains or if we would like his remains back in a cardboard coffin?” Seriously, this place does not care about your animals, just your $! I understand that everything cost $. I get it! However not everything happens on a schedule! Unfortunately, it was terrible timing and we did not have the full amount up front. I would have gladly paid every payment on time and more! My whole family is heartbroken! I understand that everything is a business, however if you want your pet to live, don’t ever take them here! They are heartless!!!!

Absolute worst place! They do not even care about saving a pets life. My kids had found a stray dog near us, after trying on all apps and ring to find the dogs owner there was no success. We tried to hang on to him but he was vomiting non stop and having pure red blood from his stool. He was falling over, wouldn’t eat nor drink. This was so traumatizing for my kids to see. They denied us help the first night we brought him in, the humane society was going to take him this weekend but I called them to tell them the dog wouldn’t survive, he was so I’ll. They told me to try blue pearl and don’t understand why they wouldn’t have taken the dog originally. We went again and they told me they can’t help the dog & this was just by glancing at him while he was vomiting in their office. I told them this dog isn’t going to survive and how can they determine they can’t take a dying dog by just LOOKING at him. Isn’t there Job to help a sick or injured animal?! How can you an emergency clinic deny a sick dog!! After complaining they came back and said “ fine we will take this dog but we can’t do anything “ so basically they’re just going to let this dog sit in there and die! How inhumane!! This dog wouldn’t have been as bad as it was tonight if they would’ve helped it last night. Please please, don’t take your pet here. Find anywhere else!! I have zero faith they will help this dog tonight and that it will die. My heart is crushed and I would’ve kept him in a heart beat if there was anything I could’ve done to help him but with how much vomit and blood came from this dog there isn’t anything I could’ve done. Please, don’t go here. This poor dog couldn’t even open his eyes or move. They had zero sympathy and we’re not compassionate at all!!

I went there with my dog Emma with a critical emergency. She had collapsed. They immediately took her in and evaluated her condition, via a CT scan. She had a hemorrhaging tumor in her spleen. They called around until they found a surgeon who could do the surgery asap. I then drove her to VetMed in Phoenix. All this was happening after hours, in the middle of the night. My many thanks to Dr Moezzi and his staff. They all showed such deep concern and compassion for Emma and me. Dr Moezzi called often to check on how Emma was doing after we took her to VetMed. Both facilities were fantastic, and my dog would not be alive today, if not for them. Her tumor turned out to be benign too. I could not be more happier. So glad I picked this Blue Pearl to take her to.

Awesome er for my dog. Staff is very friendly and honest. Hard to get in this day and age. Wait time can be long but that’s with any emergency room. Mine was super short. Had me in and out quickly for my dogs emergency. Cost, time and what is going on with animal is all upfront. Can not thank this place enough.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!! If I could give 0 I would. Go to Glendale or Peoria to their emergency clinics. We had to take our daughter’s dog here because our normal vet was 3 weeks to an appointment and he had been vomiting for 24 hours. Their only recommendation for west valley was Blue Pearl, so we loaded up and headed into Avondale. Had I read their reviews prior I would have driven elsewhere In the valley. The vet tech who came to get our dog was an absolute mess, disrespectful and not caring at all. My 14 year old daughter’s sweet rescue pooch is a distemper survivor and came to be her forever pup/baby with some lasting effects from distemper (the tech was not knowledgeable at all and was very rude and told us he (our pup) isn’t right and should see a neurologist ????????). She took him back and not even 5 minutes went by and we were called to the front desk to be told our dog was critical and we needed to pay $650 before they could do anything. When I questioned the lady at the desk about how he was critical she was rude and short. She told me he had a fever and unless I paid now they wouldn’t start any treatment on him. Come to find out the other people waiting in the lobby and everyone else that came in (The 5 hours we sat there) were also in critical condition and they needed $650 to start any treatment. When the vet called me to talk about the treatment plan, he was far too busy and unconvinced to come to the lobby to speak to me about our dog. On the phone he told me something completely different than what the lady at front desk stated was the reason our dog was critical and when I questioned him he said the lady at the desk is confused and he has the right information. I really did not feel comfortable with them in the care of our dog. They did an IV, ran bloodwork and $900 later and 5 hours we left with our dog and no answers.

Absolutely impressed with BluePearl, would highly recommend them to anybody needing emergency pet care. Our dog developed hemangiosarcoma and collapsed, took her to the Avondale location at 11pm and she was seen within 10-15 minutes. A special thanks to Dr Allison Reeder, she was amazing. Sat me down and explained very clearly the issues and her recommendations. I would have expected an ER to try to upcharge, but she actually tried to talk me out of the expensive options. She was extremely compassionate, and when we eventually had to return a few weeks later for euthenasia, I was glad that it was Dr Reeder working that night. She remembered our dog and her history, and was a true professional. For people complaining about long wait times, recommend taking BluePearl's advice when they suggest which clinic to go to that is currently less busy.

avoid this place. take your pet somewhere that they're not worried about payment before taking care of an animal. had me pay 400 dollars for at home treatment (which has worked for me in the past multiple times), juss to call me an hour later and say my dog was in critical condition and he was going to die if ididnt leave him overnight. being tight on cash ijuss decided to take my boy home and he died in the car on the way back.

Im still sitting here in the office after my pup passed away, and all these people are worried about is money! I called them hours before hand and was told they couldn't see my pup unless they had payment in full! I looked around for hours trying to find help but had no luck. If you can help it, please don't bring your little loved ones here. ????

Horrible place. They leave your little buddy in pain, scared and unattended for several hours or more. Staff is less than communicative.

Worst service ever! They literally recommended Euthanizing my dog because she was sick, yes she’s not feeling well but doesn’t mean she needs to be put down. I think they have forgotten what their job is about saving animals not taking the easy way out and killing them. Roxy has recovered in 3 days after they said she would not make it if I took her home. I spend almost 3 k to just get stressed out. Roxy was diagnosed with pancreatitis and I did a lot of research online that’s when i decided I would just bring her home and take care of her here. If you can find a better place I would recommend doing that. This place seemed to care more about the money then the actual well being of the animals.

I took my dog in because she was vomiting and not eating . They said they would take her to the back but it would be 4 to 6 hours before they would get to her. I decide to take her home. Within 2 hours they call me with her blood work results , I told them that was very strange because my dog is home with me and you never took her blood. The lady told me she pulled up the wrong chart and hung up . I’m so glad I didn’t leave my dog there .

Way over priced! Took my dog in because of his allergies and they charged $170 for 7 Prednisone pills, and then told me that I can also use Benadryl.

DONT GO HERE! they are all about the money instead of helping your pet! My boy died because they were to worried about getting there money before helping him! They let him sit in their cage for hours and he died waiting for help! My baby was only a puppy and didn't deserve that!! I'm only giving 1 start because 0 is not an option

I would give them negative 5 stars if I could. DO NOT bring you pet here, they take advantage of pet owners by charging Outrageous and Ridiculous prices. Granted our beloved pets need the care, but Not at their price.

We lost 2 pets under their care.. A dog and a ferret both were having Suizures. They said our husky had had the limet to the meds to think about uthinized him.. We had no place else to go and they know this.. A frnd took her cat and she was crying and up set what do they do tell her her cats been poisaned and it was her fault..arent they suposse to console you when ur about to loose ur baby..she left with her kitty euthanized and the feeling it was her fault.. My neice took her dog in for an ear infection they told Her that he will have to be put under Anastesia FOR AN EAR INFECTION ..COME ON !! They then told her b4 even seeing the dog how the anistedic can go wrong and the added cost ..she was up to $2800 for his ear ..she told them there's something fishy going on here and left with her dog and waited till her vet could see him..he was a lucky one and he lived..The place was filthy also.. Please seek a different place drive a bit further for your fur baby. AVET is better by far.. And get this I was talking to my artist and she said a client told her the exact same thing about that place being crooked and bad staff and not caring for nothing but YOUR money. ID give Ø stars if I could.. PLEASE SEEK OUT ANITHER PLACE B4 GOING HERE..

I will never take another pet here. Our dog was attacked by an animal in our yard. We dropped her off at Blue Pearl at 10:45 pm. They gave her pain med immediately and at 1 am I was told she was getting ready to be treated. When I called at 6 am expecting a report I was then told she was just being treated. She waited 7 hours to be treated. We brought her home around 11 am, 12 hours after we dropped her off and she passed away 12 hours later. I'll never know if the delay in her treatment contributed to her death. I shouldn't have that question in my mind at all. She had significant trauma. The excuse given in the delay was that there was only 1 vet there. Why? Why would an er only have 1 vet overnight? Why was I told at 1 am she was being treated and then wasn't until 5 hours later? Why did she die 12 hours later when she had no internal injuries or abdominal wounds? Why did it cost $2000 and she not survive? We will never know. Do not take your pets here if you value their life. I will forever have regrets.

If 0 stars was an option, I would give this place 0 stars. This is my second time here; the first time was a good experience, this time was a complete disappointment. How can people who went to school to take care of injured/ill pets decide that particular pets are not worthy of their care? Something is wrong there. We brought in our Golden Retriever due to the fact he has had a severe limp for 72 hours. We previously tried icing it and medicating it ourselves before even going here, but he has no improvement and vet appointments were 2 weeks out. We were unsure if there could be trauma or any small foreign objects that we couldn’t initially see or feel stuck in his foot and we’re worried about infection or anything worse . The female vet tech that is there today, 8/29/21 around 10:30am (with rainbow socks, two little buns in her hair, and the crocs) instantly wrote off the injury and major concern we are experiencing with our Golden. I could sense her attitude toward myself and our situation from the get-go, even before I could explain the triage we had already taken, but she acted as if we were imposing on her. We advised that we’d still like him to be see. and are fine with waiting since he wasn’t as critical as other pets, but we’d like him to be since, as his paw looks enflamed and he keeps licking it (worried about anything bacterial/fungal). She took him to the back and not even 2 minutes later, brought him back to us and said that they were rejecting his intake due to being a “level 1.” They did not take the time to even look at his paw for two minutes to at least assure us that we didn’t miss any tiny foreign objects or small wounds. Instead, their actions and demeanor basically said that his injury was a waste of their time and not worthy of even being checked out for five minute. Instead, the just offered “we can refer you elsewhere.” It is very disappointing to go to a place that aims to help pets, but doesn’t give you the time of day and writes off the owner’s valid concerns. This place doesn’t make you feel cared for and the presentation of the initial vet tech doesn’t make you feel like your pet is cared for at all. Animal hospitals with these types of responses truly make you wonder how these people ever pursued a career with animals, as they were so easily to write off a pet that wasn’t worth their time apparently. We will no longer be returning to this hospital and never entrusting them with our animals’ care again.

This is place is the worst. They will not even touch your pet until you pay them. Fine, fair enough maybe some people wouldn't pay. However, then they overcharge you and takes a week+ to get you refund back. They are real quick to take your money but real slow to give it back. Worst customer service ever, I hope this place goes out of business.
