I had to bring my big baby, SOCO, in to have her put down, she was super old. For 14 1/2 years she was the greatest dog ever. They do a clay paw print of her as a complimentary gift when you have to say good be to your pet which was …

I've been taking my pets here for 3 years. I have a senior dog and they have alternative medicines. Dr Wansky is doing accupuncture for my dogs mobilty after she gets lazer therapy to help with her arthritis. They know Rio when she comes in. They seem to know every pet's name when they come in. Rio also goes to their sister clinic for chiropractor adjustments. They are simply great.

They get us in and take at a look at our little fur baby right away. Always giving us peace of mind. We appreciate them at Allatoona Animal Hospital.

The most amazing people. They didn’t have any appointments available and made room to squeeze us in. We had to put our baby down which is one of the hardest things to do and they made sure to get us in the same day and were more than nice and compassionate. I’m so thankful for their staff. Highly recommended.

On 10/09/21, I took one of my senior pets in for euthanasia. As pets owners can attest, making this decision is hard enough. The vet’s office shouldn’t make it even harder and more traumatic. As my pet is an exotic, I understood I could not be with her during the actual procedure, so I walked up to the desk to pay and was told the total was $180.00 (plus some change I can’t recall). I asked if the price of euthanasia had gone up and why it was so costly. The receptionists kindly advised me that this was a package that included communal cremation. The technician advised them that I was taking my pet home, and I reiterated that I was taking my pet home, not having her cremated. The receptionists restated that the price is a package and that is how it is billed, that there isn’t another option. They were kind about it, but stated it was how they charge for the service. Luckily, they had not yet euthanized my pet, and she was not in critical condition, so I stopped them, retrieved my pet and told them I was not going to pay for a service I was not getting, and that I would take her elsewhere. I was taking my pet home and was not going to pay for a cremation that wasn’t being done. The receptionists were very kind, but did not have the authority to make any changes, and when I advised the vet that we were not proceeding and why, she did not make any effort to remedy the situation or to explain why clients are charged for services they are not receiving. I was a little surprised, but I shouldn’t have been, because I left their employ a few years ago and know how corporate medicine can be, and the vets often have very little power to change things. Even though I haven’t worked there for a few years, I continued to see Dr. Landau (not the vet I saw for the euthanasia) because I feel he is one of the best veterinarians I have worked with in my over 25 years in the industry. I hope some day he opens his own practice, because he would have handled things much more compassionately. Sadly, I feel now I need to find another veterinarian because I no longer trust that clients are treated fairly or respectfully, especially in situations as sensitive as having to euthanize their beloved pets. I was willing to pay a fair price for services, but they tried to gouge me and all I received as an explanation is that it was policy to charge even though I wasn’t actually getting all the services. Thank goodness my pet was not in critical condition or I would have felt I had no other choice. I can only imagine the number of clients who find themselves in the position of having to pay this exorbitant and unwarranted “package” fee when their pets are in emergent need of humane euthanasia and their owners are in need of some compassion. I find myself also wondering if clients who choose private cremation for their pet are unwittingly paying for the communal cremation fee as well, since it is lumped in with the euthanasia charge. Very sad!

Dr. Landeau is amazing. Highly recommend and trusted them with our Rhodesian ridgeback. He treated her medical issues for 5 years or so.

Took our dog in for grooming, nails and bath. Picked him up and he was still wet, didn’t smell any different from when we dropped him off. I’m not even sure he was bathed.

They have a price match policy that only applies when a manager approves which makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is not having a manager available to do a price match on medication near twice the price. Also Cathy explained the reason Simparica was near twice the price was because “we have the updated formula” which is actually being sold online as well, again at half the price. Not only do they have poor policies in place but their receptionist flat out lied in justifying the medication being overpriced. Shame because the actual Vet, Halie, was great to our newborn GSD. Just a recommendation to the clinic, you should update your policy posted throughout your clinic to say “price matching subject to manager availability” otherwise it is misleading.

My kitten had his paralyzed tail surgically removed at a previous vet, which left him traumatized and scared of the vet. He now hisses and growls when I take him to the vet. In any other environment, he is the sweetest thing, so as far as I can tell, he's just scared of the vet. A friend who has fostered many kittens told me that often times the hissing and growling does not lead to the cat attacking anyone and the cat is just scared and wants people to leave it alone and that with the proper protective equipment (i.e. gloves and restraining the kitten in a towel or something), such cats can still easily be treated. However, Allatoona Animal Hospital would not even try to take my kitten out of the carrier because of his behavior. If the kitten had attacked someone, I would understand, but he hadn't, and I ended up paying $58 for the vet to just look at the kitten in his carrier and tell me that I would have to spend a lot more money to sedate him before they could do anything.

I truly don’t think I can put into words how incredible this Vet is. My Shepherd got a bone stuck around her mouth and Allatoona fit her in within 30 mins and was able to remove the bone. The entire staff was beyond incredible. I even heard them cheer when they got the bone off. I knew my dogs wouldn’t go anywhere else. A couple weeks ago we had to lay our oldest to rest. For such a terrible experience Allatoona Animal Hospital made it so special. They have a room with couches and blankets on the ground. The Dr. comes in with normal clothes. We received a clay mold of her paw and today we received a card with the staffs personal note. Thank you Allatoona staff. You are one of a kind.

I highly recommend affordable vet on eagle drive. They are very knowledgeable And not absurdly priced. Allatoona miss diagnosed my pet Ans she almost died because of the treatment and I try ruins given by them! DR.Tyler at Affordable Vet was able to figure out the issue right away And my pets life. The only thing I can recommend here is the groomer Amy that does amazing with my cat.

Our Furbabies" are like our babies. I decided quickly where to go , Allatoona Animal Hospital was the BEST choice!!. The doctor and staff we're very precise on the information they gave me about my dog. I felt comfortable with the procedure they needed to do, Plus very minimal time of waiting. I had no doubt that my dog would be taken care of graciously. Thank you, to everyone who assist in taking care of my dog today January 28th 2021. I will recommend this place highly to other pet lovers, thank you again.
