I moved from Florida to Virginia so that my woolly husky could have cooler temperatures. I actually moved back to Florida, even though I was offered greater pay, with three bedrooms of household goods, within six weeks, because Play n Stay is that great of a doggie daycare. It is the only place where I will board my dog, Siku, overnight.

Play and Stay is awesome. The only place we'd trust with our doggos.

Care and love was given to our furry children for a week. We could enjoy our vacation knowing our pets were in good hands.

Terrible. I would not bring my pet back here and I would not recommend others board their pets here either. Three main complaints. 1. I was entitled to a discount from a promotion (15% off), and the front desk worker didn’t credit this to me when it was in writing to him that I was eligible. When I brought it up to him, he denied knowing, and stated that he couldn’t possibly refund the entitled amount. 2. Very rough while handling my pet. My pet has a “safe” collar that will snap off if he gets caught somewhere. It requires considerable force to remove and would naturally come off only if he was hanging from a tree by his collar. When the same front desk employee was placing my pet in his carrier, he was so rough that he forcibly snapped off his collar and was oblivious to the mistreatment. 3. Prices unclear on site. The ~half price for a second pet at the boarding is advertised as though it’s an option for a less luxurious boarding experience. This was not explained until the front desk employee “couldn’t possibly issue a refund.”

I would never go anywhere else

Do not believe description of services!! My dog was dragged by William straight to a cage- no attempt to connect. This was not the experience I had 4 years ago when I brought my dog Dewey for doggie daycare daily for 6 months. William within 15 minutes called and complained about my dog. He said that dogs no longer were brought out to play. Obviously they are understaffed with personel who don't like animals. As I was on the way to the airport I was forced to leave my dog. They drugged her, left her at the vets, and charged me for collars etc. Coming to $70 per day. I believe they were borderline abusive and William claimed my dog is aggressive. Bella interacts daily with other dogs and people never would anyone agree with this as she is submissive to All dogs and people, with exception on one who is abusive. Owner)vet refuses to return calls.

Love this place. They are always very helpful and post pictures so you are able to see how your fur baby is doing!

We take our boys here a couple times a month. They enjoy going and get so excited as soon as we pull in the drive way. And they are wiped out from playing, when they get home

I'm updating my 4-year old, 5 star review to reflect my wish that there were more than 5 stars available! Jasper has been coming to Play and Stay since he was a puppy (he's a almost 6) and sometimes I think Jasper (& his year old brother Louie) love William and his staff more than they love us !! Now, obviously they don't really, but that speaks volumes to the level of trust that William and his team have built with their four legged clients. When a dog actually enjoys spending time at a kennel, has fun, feels safe and secure with the staff ... well, the peace of mind that gives me is priceless. I think it goes without saying, that I would not trust anyone else to take care of my "babies." The facility is spotless, with a variety of room sizes, (notice I said, "ROOMS" & NOT CAGES), to fit any size pet. They're given a lot of attention, socialized with other dogs (if you prefer), and clearly, they feel loved. I read once you can always tell when a business is ran well or professionally managed, by the amount of staff turnover. Well, I've been bringing Jasper to Play and Stay for more than 5 years and near as I can tell, there is very little staff turnover. William, the manager, has been there longer than I have been a client ... so clearly Dr. Sprayberry is doing something right.

Our little Maltese, Sammy, loves to go to play and stay! The staff are always nice and seem to really enjoy the pets they watch over! We love the Facebook photos of the animals having fun at play!!

The staff is outstanding & we've found them to be very attentive to our dog's needs. Our dog absolutely loves to go to Play N Stay. He comes home very happy & well exercised.

They leave by 6pm so last call for potty break is then, don't like that. Our dog comes back weird and loss of appetite and fur is now all lumpy. They arent a bad boarding place, but not sure it is my fav.

First of all we do not have a dog but we had to go there with our friends to drop their dog off for her stay before our trip. I was so impressed that I had to get out of the car to see the place! It was amazing to see the facility and watch how they treat their guests (dogs)!! They have private rooms with full length windows to look outdoors! Who has that? They have outdoor safe playtime ! They can even take their own beds and treats!! What a place!!!

Gypsy and I are both fans of Play and Stay! Great people and customer service. You feel safe dropping of your pet for the day or for a short stay overnight. I love the kennel layout with windows too. We are so happy to have found these folks!

The dogs seemed to enjoy their overnight stay and the staff was patient when we arrived minutes before closing.

This is a top notch doggie pet hotel . Their customers will drive over and hour to house their pets because I've asked them:) . I've personally been using doggie day care for my 11 month old Doberman who loves it! Their requirements to get in are much more stringent and require some shots and tests your veterinarian may say not needed. My take is, we can never be to careful with our furbabies .Great people and facilities!!

When I got my dog he had zero social skills he was a 4 month old Pomeranian that was so hyper and a little crazy. We began dropping little Sunny off 6 days a week for the next 2 years. He loved it so much and loved all his fur friends. Great people, great grooming and the Vets office is on the same property. Great place

I got a tour of Play N Stay when I had my job interview and I love it there. The employees would see customers and know their dog's name already and it really showed that they cared about the animals. There's a lot of room to run around and the dogs seem so happy there. So much tail wagging! The place was pretty clean as well so that was a plus. I didn't get the job but I'll be keeping an eye out for their next opening. Who wouldn't want to be at a place like that?
