Navy Boulevard Animal Hospital Pensacola, Alabama

We have used Navy Boulevard Animal Hospital for years. They are always very helpful and kind to our family and our pets. We also board our dogs and have our dogs groomed here. Sky is our groomer and she is very patient.

We are just traveling through the area, so I called this morning to see if I could possibly get a same day appointment for my dog (we are leaving tomorrow). She has an ear infection, and I didn't want her to be miserable for another week or so, until we're home. I was able to get the appointment, they were very professional and even told me what they suggested should be done, and how much each item (including citology) would cost. There were no surprises when it was time to pay. My dog got her good girl treats and we were off. I would certainly recommend this practice.

This was my first time coming to this and I kind have Mixed feeling. I paid for premium package which includes him getting a bath. My dates for my dog boarding was 16-20, with the 20th being a Sunday. I was'nt clear of the times to pick him up. I Kept calling on Thursday and on Friday to see how he was doing, nothing was about the times for pick up on Sunday. So I missed to pick up times, he had to stay another night. I have been using these guys since I got out of the army in 2004. I don't plan on going anywhere else. I get outstanding service EVERY time I go. If you are looking for a vet... stop looking and bookmark these guys..

My Shih Tzu, Maddie, had bladder stones. One was so big she couldn’t pass it. When we arrived, one hour before closing time, my little girl was in terrible shape. Limp and weak, she literally bled all over the waiting room floor. The staff rushed into action and stayed late into the night (long after closing) while Dr Russell performed emergency surgery. She was hours from dying and the outlook was bleak. Her bladder was almost dead. Blood flow was almost nonexistent. Against great odds, Dr Russell and his staff saved my little dog. It’s been two years and she’s still going strong. We will never go anywhere else.

Honestly the best vet hospital ever. Not only were they fast and able to fit my puppy in last minute but the staff kept me informed every step of the way. I appreciate them so much especially since it was an emergency and helped a puppy in dire need of medical attention. So thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!!!

I was very lucky to get an appointment the next morning.the young lady came out to the car and patiently worked with Dixie to come inside. Dixie is real protective of me. She finally got her inside. The doctor called me about 15 minutes later with the details. He explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. He went over everything that was on the bill. Very professional. I picked a very good veterinary Doctor with a good staff.

I unfortunately had to let my 13-14 year old puppy go. But, even though it was the end of the day for the staff, they were very compassionate and took their time to explain what was happening and to allow me to spend some time with my pup. Dr. Russell took a good amount of time to talk to me about what was going on and the prognosis, he also was very compassionate in his explanation. The professionalism and compassion of the team was very much appreciated and it made a bad situation a little better.

After having been told that my dog was too old to have a mole removed off of his face and get his teeth cleaned with another vet's office, we decided to get a second opinion with Dr. Russell at Navy Blvd Animal Hospital. He informed us that, yes, our beloved 12 year-old, terrier mix, Zeke could have the mole removed and his teeth not only cleaned but removed. Zeke ended up having 15 teeth pulled and the mole removed. HIs teeth were so bad that they were black and infected. I felt Dr. Russell was very knowledgeable and professional. From the beginning of the 1st appointment until the surgery was performed, I was informed of everything to be expected with the surgery and the after care. My dog was not himself before the surgery but you ought to see him now! He is out of pain and playing like a puppy! Thank you Navy Blvd Animal Hospital!

I took my newly adopted cat here today for her first initial visit. The staff was amazing! The veterinarian was so nice and so personable. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a great environment for your fur baby, this place is great!

We are only here for a short time for training and we ended up needing a vet for our dog. Navy Blvd Animal Hospital exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond for our sweet girl. Dr. Matyi is so nice and informative. His main concern is caring for your pet not to take your money. I’ve never had a vet like him before. I wish we could take them with us when we leave. My dog was suffering and they took him right away. Service was fast, professional, and thorough. I very highly recommend this veterinarian.

Just left our follow up appointment with our sweet Luna. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Amazing staff. Dr Russell was great explaining the improvement on how the medicine they prescribed her was helping her ears. Love this clinic and will continue to bring our babies here for as long as we have pets!

They helped so much w our dog allergies. We used them until we know bed to another state. I highly recommend them. Kind staff, friendly office.

Called and asked if they would take an emergency walk in during regular hours and was told they had thier last appointment at 615. So tells me that they could have taken us with 30 plus minutes left. Nope, god forbid they see your pets during regular hours and last appointment was 615. Will never go here. Money first, pets last.

I utilize both boarding and veterinarian services for my 3 dogs. In both cases, staff has gone above and beyond to answer questions, care for my pets, and provide all around quality services. High quality services are offered for fair prices, and best of all, my dogs are always treated with utmost care and respect. I would highly recommend this facility, and the staff, to those interested in receiving the best care for their family.

Have been out of town for a few days. Come home and my little dog has a place on his skin and some sort of rash on his face. Could not get them to help me with my dog. Wouldn't even look at him. Stood there in their lobby for about 5 minutes before they even acknowledged my presence. I found them to be rude and disinterested. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They responded to my review about suggesting an emergency vet referring service. In response to this I will add that they told me they would see my dog if there was a referral from this emergency referral service. But I was already there. And I am not going to pay someone to tell me to go and visit a business which I was just visiting. Sounds like all they're really concerned about is getting money from people. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these people.

Just moved here a few weeks ago to work on the Navy base and my dog got pretty sick, someone at work mentioned these guys and they really are the best! I spoke with Dr. Matyi and Dr. Russell. Both really nice people who took the time to make sure my buddy was getting everything he needs. Can't recommend this place enough!

Started taking my pets here and my puppies love going to the vet now! Molly was so helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Russell and his entire team are amazing! Great attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile when it comes to our fur babies. From check-in to check-out, it was such a pleasant experience. Highly recommend navy blvd animal hospital for all your pet care needs!! And we will definitely use them for boarding in the future!

Made room on a busy Saturday to get us in right away for a sick puppy as a "new" patient(almost nobody does that now days). Very professional and CARING. Explained everything in detail with patience. Neglected my paralyzed kitten. Didn't perform bloodwork that was requested and already paid for. Had to call and ask if they even did it, and they didnt, so they refunded the money. The worst part of this is that kitten suffered for days …

Both of the doctors at Navy Blvd Animal Hospital are amazing, as well as the entire staff. They are so attentive, caring, and explain everything every step of the way.
