I Used To Love This Place , But The Last Few Times Have Been Bad Experiences! They Do Treat The Animals Amazing, But Its Customer Service They Need To Work On!

If your animal is having skin issues, this is the place to visit. Your pet will be individually considered and treated. The vet is a scientific problem solver who seems to loves animals.

We've been using Animal Hospital of Montgomery for years. They always treat our fur babies like their own. Customer service is always top notch.

They seem more interested in my wallet than my pet. About $400 a pop each time I took my dog in, even for routine services when he wasn't sick. Refuses to approve prescription for online order of prescription. They charged 5x as much for what appeared to be a generic version of the name brand medication the online supplier sold. During the covid pandemic, it was just drop pet off at front door and wait in the parking lot (OK, I understand this), but I rarely got to speak with the vet. I paid nearly $200 for x-rays I was never shown. Most communications was through some dingbat that didn't seem to know anything other than processing a credit card. My dog's principle vet is apparently semi-retired and isn't available before Thursday each week.

I take my dog here the employees love to interact with the pets and the doctor knows what he's talking about very experienced I learn something from this place every time I go

This is where I take my baby to get his bath. Also found a stray dog took to have checked for microchip. Everyone was super nice

Oh I am so thankful for such a phenomenal team to take care of my fur babies. My husband and I have been looking for a local Veterinarian. Well we have finally found our long term Veterinarian. Dr. Gotthelf, and his amazing Veterarian Technician Kimber are phenomenal!!! The entire staff was amazing they outlined treatment and costs with no surprises like you will find at other establishments. My doggo Cortana has terrible allergies and everything about her treatment plan was carefully described to me in detail . Everyone was so friendly and you could tell they love their careers with animals . They help safe costs while still giving your animal the best quality of care . I absolutely love them. If your looking for an amazing place for your fur babies this is definitely the place to start bringing them.

I am a new Client of Dr. Gotthelf's practice. Contrary to the few negative reviews, I found him to be very nice, personable and knowledgeable. He is clearly, as his credentials state, an authority and expert in his field. Rarely do vets specialize in particular animal conditions (vs. specific species or Animal Husbandry) in my experience, but I am glad he does. My Service Dog, Madame Moiselle, presented with a yeast infection in her right ear - I thought it was ear mites and he educated me thoroughly and properly on her exact condition - without being condescending or short. He is clearly a good educator and lecturer. Everything he said coincided with my own research. Madame is a rescued Pittie/Lab mix and very powerful. When he and two other techs could not physically restrain her to complete the ear treatment, he stopped. He sent her home with medication after a shot of Prednisone to ease the animal's discomfort (which was actually caused by a skin allergy on her belly - Pitties are prone to skin conditions...) until I could bring her back so he could finish the treatment properly under mild sedation. When I brought her back, she went straight to him, no hesitation. If he had associated pain with her last vist to Dr. Lou, she would have torn him to shreds. Instead, she couldn't wag her tail enough when Staff took her to Dr. Gotthelf! I also brought in my new puppy, Creed, with her for his first shots. He is also a Pittie Mix rescue. Both of these animals received so much love, attention and playtime that they did not want to get in the car to go home! I found the charges to be reasonable and appointment scheduling to be flexible and accommodating. As for the Staff: I found them ALL to be friendly, polite and professional. They have always referred to me as 'Sir', Mr. + my surname and treat my animals with the utmost kindness and care. I also have a pair of rare, champion Siamese show cats (Mei-Li and Yao Ming) which ONLY get the very best medical attention that money can buy and have gotten it since they were kittens.... They are due for their annual shots - and they are going to Dr. Lou. I usually do not take this much time out of my day to write a review. In fact, I rarely if ever, write them. But this one was worth the time and effort to write, if for nothing else, to debunk the negative comments on here... So, unless Dr. Gotthelf is also Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, I don't think those comments apply accurately. I look forward to continue taking my Fur-Family to Animal Hospital of Montgomery!

Thank you Dr. Gotthef for fixing Lee Roy Boy.. After just one pill, he's back to being mischievous!!!
