????????????????????????????????UPDATE???????????????????????? Dr Miranda Trammell @ Mercy Animal Hospital just called me and wanted to make sure that I understood the reason for the charges and the circumstances regarding the spay procedures. She did apologize for the fact I left feeling like I had received unsatisfactory service from the staff. She actually said she did try and call me Friday but we had left to go eat and missed her call. Had I known she had called I would have returned her call. She said she has had this on her mind all week and I am glad that she did decide to reach out to us again and let us know that Mercy does value us as clients and want to keep our trust in giving the very best care for our fur babies. Talk about totally unprofessional and greedy, we took a cat to be spayed that just showed up and decided she wanted us as her humans. This kitty our grandson fell in love with so we decided after numerous visits that she loved him just as much, to get her all fixed up to go be a part of their family. After posting on social media and canvassing our neighborhood, no one claimed her, so we took her to get spayed, wormed, and vaccinated. We asked for her to be checked for any indication of any possible previous spay by tattoo or an incision scar before we left when we dropped her off. Also we had her checked for feline leukemia before proceeding, she was negative on her test and they shaved her and there was not any tattoo or incision so we went ahead with her surgery. When I went to pick her up the vet tech informed me she had actually been spayed. I asked why was I charged for a full spay procedure if nothing was removed. The office manager after speaking to Dr Trammell let me know they actually “did us a favor” by not charging us an additional $75.00 to an already $448.00 bill, for it turning into a more in-depth exploratory surgery. I let her know we were going to do our personal 2 cats a huge favor by no longer using them as their Veterinarians. We are so disappointed and frustrated in the attitude we got from the office manger, we did not ask for a freebie just an adjustment since no female reproductive anatomy was removed. Basically she was opened then closed. I even paid to have the bogie laser done on her incision to help in healing time????????‍♀️ matter what as Not resolved they reminded us they “did us a favor”, give me a break…. Do yourself and your fur babies a favor and find a group that is not all in it for a the money. Boy were we fooled. What happened to the great clinic that first opened?

Best Vet ever. Always willing to answer your questions, easily schedule appointments, and they know each pet by name. I always recommend they to new pet parents. We've used them for over 7 years. Never had a bad experience ever.

I have been buying flea medicine for my cat since the day that place opened and went in to buy some and since it was for a different cat they told me I would have to pay $50 to see the vet first I could’ve simply lied and told him it was for my other cat but I went to another vet and they gladly sold it to me so I guess they would rather lose business being greedy

Had to kennle my pal scooby there for a week while I was finding him a good home. They were actually closing and their computers already shut down for the evening, yet they took him in. My dog fluke was a patient there. He had leukemia.sadly he passed away almost 2 years ago but had been going to mercy vet and he lived to be 15 years old.My 3 rescued cats also go there. Such wonderful people.

My dog was shot by police, impounded and needed medical care. After being seen by the veterinarian my dog was released to me without being taken outside to relieve himself. He was heavily sedated. I picked up my 65lb pooch and placed him in my small sedan. He shortly had to go right away. I pulled over to the pet supply across the street to help him out to do his business. A vet tech yelled across the street to me”you need to handle your dog better” an insensitive comment to make to a fellow dog owner who has already endured a sensitive and stressful situation. If she thought the dog was being mistreated, why not run over and help assist with the animal that just left your facilities care? I called to relay this incident to the head vet and he basically took the side of the unprofessional employee, saying “she didn’t say it happened that way” Treat humans with the same decency as you do animals.

Took our cat to get neutered recently. He was perfectly healthy prior, but came home badly infested with tapeworms. This echoes a similar event where our dog came home with a horrendous flea infestation after having been groomed by them. Beware. This place deserves to be shut down. I can only imagine how filthy their kennels are.

I have taken my dogs to see them for over 4 years and have never had any issues paying for services. One of my dogs got into anti freeze and we had to rush her over. This was on a Wednesday. I didn’t get paid until two days later that Friday so I was willing to give them my credit card information so they could charge me Friday for services. They would not help my dog at all and sent her out in awful condition. Argo pet clinic was able to see her but unfortunately it was too late and she had to be put down. Argo was willing to let me pay for services two days later. They could have saved my dogs life but instead refused because I couldn’t pay same day. Again they have seen my dog for 4 years. No compassion at all. I will never go back and would not recommend. Argo pet clinic in trussville actually cares about your animals, I highly recommend

I was really happy with how fast they got my kitty in with a UTI and worked with me before doing procedures to see if I could afford them or not. The veterinarian and her assistant were very sweet an informative with how nervous I was in the situation also. It was a bit pricey but what vet clinic isn't so that was expected. It is easy to find and not far from the interstate.

I showed up with no appointment. The Doc saw us within 45 minutes. The assistant and the doctor were so nice and knowledgeable. Blood and urine tests will be available the next day. I thought the price was quite reasonable. Oh, the young assistant complimented my 11 year old cat on her 10/10 behavior!

My little dachshund appeared to be in distress that morning. Breathing very hard and panting, I called up there to see if a vet was available to see her. They worked us in and we were reassured that she was going to be okay. Staff was very nice also.

Have used Mercy in the past with only a few issues. We used them this past weekend, total disaster!! He was NASTY and an emotional wreck! Will not use them again, he deserves better! We believe he was crated and not attended too, after being assured he would not be crated. I’m just trying to keep someone else from feeling as bad as we do for trusting our pet with the boarding service.

They were excellent during Covid.. they always strive for good customer service and my dog seemingly likes going. THEY ALWAYS greet him with love and he has the wags for the girls up front and the sweet folks that brought him back to the car are always super sweet..great group of folks working there.
