Inverness Animal Clinic, PC Birmingham, Alabama

After seeing the cats in the window, recently, we felt like this place might be great for our new kitten. However, we do not agree with this company's option to provide PRIVATE health information (vaccine status or negative COVID test) of the pet owner in order to participate in the office visit. They also offer a discount for the pet owner's proof of their own vaccination, which, in my opinion, is discriminatory. I believe a reasonable effort must be made to provide safe business environment but these efforts, in my opinion, are unnecessary and intrusive. I do not recommend this business because of their policy, and will share this information with others to make them aware.

Wonderful Clinic! They go above and beyond to care for the animals they care for! Would recommend this place to anyone! Solid 10/10 for me.

So pleased to see the Covid policy at Inverness Animal Clinic! They deserve to be commended for taking the steps necessary to ensure the health and safety of their employees and customers. Risking exposure in closed spaces such as this and other businesses, and possibly transmitting the virus to people in my life that are at risk, is unnecessary and less problematic if more would take this same approach to safety for everyone. Thank you to Dr. Strickland and team!

I have never met a vet as trustworthy, knowledgeable, or caring as Dr. Strickland. No matter your issue, you can call him up and he will fully explain the science behind your issue and recommend the best course of action to take. I have had some very informative conversations with Dr. Strickland and can tell that he is truly passionate about his profession. Highly recommend!

You could not ask for a better vet than Dr. Strickland. He and his staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and sympathetic to you and your pets needs. We have been using their services for over a year now and could not ask for anything more. I cannot stress enough how much my girlfriend, Opie (our dog) and I appreciate everything they do, and encourage anyone who needs veterinary services to go here.

Dr. Strickland was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He really takes the time to talk to you about what is going on with your pet. He also took some time to explain different foods, medicines, and types of house training and the research behind them. We will definitely continue using him in the future! Update: A year in of having Dr. Strickland as our vet and we are still just as satisfied (if not more so)! They have helped us numerous times to understand the why behind the medications our dogs need and even helped us address an issue with an online pharmacy cancelling our order for heartworm medication (to the point of seeing our dogs last-minute to ensure that they were squared away with heartworm testing). It goes without saying that we will have Dr. Strickland as our vet as long as we are in the Birmingham Area!

I have taken my pets to Dr. Strickland at Inverness Animal Clinic for 30 years. He is very dedicated, kind and compassionate as well as an excellent veterinarian. Most recently, I have had my Shih Tzu treated by him after an accident. I highly recommend Dr. Strickland if you live in the area.

Doctor Strickland is the best veterinarian I've ever entrusted with my best friend. He listened well to my concerns then thoroughly explained his diagnosis and my pet care options. As a recent transplant to Birmingham it is a tremendous relief to know my dog has a fantastic doctor!

Would like to thank the kindness of the vet Dr. Strickland who helped us by receiving our Dog Snoopy's records and ordered a special formulary local for us from a pharmacist he knows locally in Alabama for free as an evacuee in Alabama. He took a lot of time with me on the phone, discussed my dogs condition in length and gave us ideas on how to take care of him and wouldn't charge us since we were evacuees. He is very friendly and really knows his stuff!

Intuitive, caring vet. He has so much experience, he can pretty much diagnose a problem immediately, though he always confirms with tests, x-rays, or other tools as needed. All my cats are skiddish rescues, stray or feral, and they behave beautifully for him. Dr. Strickland and his staff have the healing touch. We love the vet and all the staff.
