Over the years I've taken all my dogs there. Not any more! It's now more of a machine then a vet. You pull up they come out and take your pet. Go by there between 4 and 6 p.m. and see for yourself. You can hardly get in the parking lot. …

The veterinary care given to my furrkids is outstanding. I've been a client for 25+ years. The staff is very helpful to me and always gentle with my pets. They go out of their way to ensure that my questions are always answered. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

I've been bringing my dogs to Acworth Animal Hospital for 20 years, they have been my vet since moving to Georgia. They've always been very friendly and they love all my dogs. When our dog Storm passed away, they were so supportive and …

I would not use any other Vet. They are always so nice and trustworthy. Dr. Jake and Andrew Tripp are the BEST.

In 2016 I took my miniature pit bull puppy there due to parvo I was given him and not notified they were sick. Soon as I realize I rushed him to the hospital but I felt a vibe I seen how fascinated this nurse was with my puppy. They called me saying he’s dead and refused to show me proof. I should of called the police on them. They are evil resist to see your dog if they say it’s dead definitely if it’s a puppy. I am so hurt that veterinarian and his team would do that to me.

Been coming here for over 13 years and what used to be a great facility has defiantly turned into a poor one. The staff doesn't listen to the customer, and what they want. No one knows anything and they appear to be completely disconnected or worse don't care enough to properly coordinate amongst themselves to function properly. They will be either be forced to change or go out of business. I really do hope they are able to pull it back together and get back to how they used to do business where the customer and animals were first. Good Luck with your future changes.

We started using this vet when our other vet started charging an arm and a leg to treat our cat during her renal failure. They were very kind when we brought her in for treatment and eventually euthanasia. They charged far less than our previous vet, despite the fact that we were new customers, and were very kind and helpful through the entire process. We began bringing our dog there shortly after. Highly recommend. Wish we still lived closer to that area.

I would really like to be able to start coming back inside and personally start talking again to the front desk as well as the vet. I've had several miscommunications that I've tried to deal with while sitting in my car after arriving for a confirmed appt. This Covid new protocol is different from vet to vet. Talking face to face is much more workable as opposed to the people who pick up your pets from the car or bring them back and relaying messages with whomever to whomever especially when your dogs are in your car.????

I’ve taken our dog since she was a puppy. For the most part, they’ve been good. Every thing they’ve recommended we’ve done. This last visit I keep track of everything they recommended and wrote done every price amount for each service. I called and spoke with someone, (I didn’t catch her name) but she advised me that our dog is ready. I asked her for the final bill amount. We went over the bill, and we weren’t off by much. When I arrived to pick our dog. My bill was increased by $220. The vet added additional items that he thought would of been beneficial to our dog, without even speaking with us. In the business that I’m in, if I recommend something and a customer approved it, and it was misdiagnosed or quoted incorrectly, guess who just ate the difference. I paid the bill and asked that management please call me regarding my bill. It’s been four days and still haven’t heard from anyone. They’re quick to sell you something, but dragging their feet to just speak to me about my issue.

I have entrusted Acworth Animal Hospital/Lake City Animal Hospital/Bartow Animal Hospital with the care of my beloved dogs since 1986. Drs. Tripp Sr. and Jr., Dr Holland, Dr Carmichael, Dr Daniels, Dr Maxwell and all of the vets in the practice have always provided excellent care, from yearly exams to boarding and grooming to visits for injuries and illness to critical, lifesaving emergency visits to kind, thoughtful guidance regarding end of life decisions and arrangements. The doctors, techs and office staff are unfailingly nice and professional. Stellar practice.

The Acworth Animal Hospital is simply AMAZING! My Yorkie needed some teeth pulled and I called and was able to make an appointment for surgery within 2 days. They came out and gave us a full explanation of the surgery, expectations, and allowed to ask questions. She did great and they took amazing care of her and followed up after a few days to make sure she was healing properly. On top of this, the prices were very affordable. I highly recommend them!

My cat Biskit developed a severe bladder problem, that damaged his kidneys. The vet there ("T.C.") catheterized him a couple of times, then refused to help him anymore, claiming "ethical" reasons. In other words, to him, since Biskit's urinary tract was so damaged, he didn't want to do anything to him but put him down. Ok, so I said thank you very much, and decided to care for my cat by myself. OVER ONE YEAR passes, and my cat is still eating like a horse, has a full range of motion, is in no obvious pain, and has gained weight. So about 4 days ago I took him back to "T.C." to show him how Biskit has not only survived, but thived, and he AGAIN refused to help him. At that point, I told T.C. what I thought about him in no uncertain terms, and am now looking for a veterinarian with some common sense and COMPASSION. I don't expect my cat to be cured, but I'll never put him down when he isn't in pain.

Overall they are a great vet. Love the staff and the care they provide. I only gave three stars as they seem to be taking on too many clients. It is getting more difficult to get appointments, especially same day. When calling, you almost always have to hold for quite some time before being able to speak with someone. I may be looking for a less busy vet due to these issues.

My kitten was unresponsive and they immediately took him in. I kept waiting for the bill for the emergency services but was never charged. I am indebted to the personnel of Acworth Animal Hospital and recommend them highly.
