Mayberrys Bark and Meow Mount Airy, North Carolina

We got our dog, Bentley, his first cow hoof here years ago. He finally chewed it into 2 pieces and we had to throw it away. He will be so happy to habe another one. They have so many homemade treats.

Really cool pet shop, sad they took the pool table away :( but I still rate the place considering how easy going everyone here is.

Took my poodle there last year wasn't worth $45 at all. I asked for a sheep style cut with shaved muzzle and paws. Also asked for a pom-pom on her tail. They shaved her a short shave and no puff on on her head or legs like I asked. They left scraggly long hair on her tail. Needless to say that they don't know how to cut poodle hair. Had to bring her home and fix their mess up. Don't go if you have a poodle.

We LOVE this groomer. They always do such a great job with our Charlie.

when I took my Bichon for a cut he looked like a Bichon. Wben I picked him up I almost didn't recognize him since he looked like a poodle. He had a long fluffy tail but that was shaved a lot. He said it was knotted. I brush him every day. I think he could have cut a little out not as much has he shaved. The only thing good I can say he cleaned his ears. Thanks. The Salon was beautiful and he was friendly.

My cat, Tobie, has stayed at the Grand Pup Resort while I have had to go out of town. Tobie was so well taken care of by Greg and his staff. The suites are spacious, there is a grooming and spa area, a bakery , a boutique located inside. Fabulous and luxurious pet resort to board your babies. Highly recommend it.

Every time my husband and I visit Mayberry, we always stop at Bark and Meow. We love the treats and always walk out with a lot of treats for our dogs. We moved to New Mexico and were going to take a trip to Disney. I called Bark and Meow to board our dogs there. I called in January and paid up front to receive a 10% discount. In May, we had to cancel our trip and I immediately emailed Bark and Meow to cancel the reservation. At first, they could not even find the reservation or our deposit of $540. After they found the information, they told us that they would forward the request to their accountant. We heard that a couple of times. Then the excuse for no refund was the owner passed away. Then the excuse was that their accountant quit but it appears the check was mailed. When we informed them that we had not gotten the refund she said she would advise the new accountant that we did not receive the check. Then they tell us to contact our bank to have the charge reversed. We finally did that after being hung up on by the person who answers the phone. She has hung up on my husband several times. It is now August and we still do not have our money. I believed this was a fine business but after all the problems we have had with getting our money refunded, we will never go to that store again. Beware - DO NOT PREPAY.

Posted hours of 9:00 am on Saturday. Arrive at 10:15, man on phone inside, doors locked, he won't even acknowledge us outside but looked right at us.

was a loyal customer of this business for a good 5 years now before their location moved to downtown. I must say this.... good service but the prices are CRAZY! i usually pay no more than $50 to have my dog cut down and this time around they charged me $68 to cut his hair down... mind you i did not get anything special.. no special baths or treatments since he did not have fleas... the only thing wrong with my doggie was his hair mats and how bad they had gotten since he was with family while i was away at school in another state... and i think he smelled a little funky but that DEFINITELY DID NOT warrant them to charge me $68 to groom him. As stated before, I've been going to this business for a while and I've never paid that much even when THEY THEMSELVES have cut my dog down BEFORE in the SAME MATTED STATED .... the only time I paid close to that amount was when he was given a flea bath and I bought some stuff for his hot spots.. other than that its always been $50. Ive even called around and the most I was quoted for a very matted dog was $50 (regular price being $40). Other than the highway robbery of a price, its a good place to go... my dog has always been treated well... just sucks they did not want to correct the problem but instead take advantage of me and my situation and make up reasons why they 'decided' to charge me an insane amount. and mind you its not like it took them all day to cut him.. he was done faster than normally! Beware! THAT IS ALL!
