What started off as good, quickly turned bad! Was banned from practice for not wishing to bring an elderly cat outside in sub-freezing weather, despite calling with notice on one occassion and after not being able to secure a Lyft ride in order to get there. Telling someone "Well, if riding in a car, the cat will not be outside all that much" and then claiming that the statement was about the well-being of the cat would apprear to be more about the $$$. What these vets have gotten away with since COVID is not to be believed.

People are informative and nice!

Dr. Levine is a cat expert and so good with our kitty! It's really nice to have a cat-only vet; you don't realize how much wrong dog-based advice and diagnoses you get at other vets until you've seen the other side. Other vets should really bill themselves as dog-only!

Aside from being heartless and overpriced, this vet will no provide the feline leukemia vaccine. Do not give this vet your business. These people do not care about your cat.

We love Dr. Levine. She is patient, kind and compassionate with Love Buggy. She goes above and beyond to make us both feel comfortable. The front office staff, and the vet techs are amazing. I can’t praise the Cambridge Cat Clinic enough. The team truly cares about your little companion.

About 3 to 4 years ago our cat escaped her kennel on a walk to our local vet and two very helpful people helped me recapture her as she ran between buildings. They were veterinarians, as it turned out, and a few months later they opened Cambridge Cat Clinic on the same block that my kitty escaped me. They're awesome, caring, gentle vets. They clearly love cats in particular and have been quick to respond to anything I've ever needed. I don't know what else to say other than that they're my favorite vet in Cambridge or Somerville.

They've been great for all of my cat's routine vet visits. Very efficient, no fuss, and the vet always does a thorough exam.

I would absolutely recommend the Cambridge cat clinic to anyone looking for a really good set of people to look after their cat's health needs. Previously i went to another vet around the corner from home, within walking distance, but when my young cat started experiencing several health issues i switched to the Cambridge cat clinic. It is true I might not have made the switch to this further-away clinic without the health issues, but im really glad I could make the switch when needed. I cant point to one single reason for preferring the cat clinic, but I can point to the outstanding folks working there. Every part of the clinic felt more comfortable and clear than my previous clinic. Questions are answered thoroughly, and throughout the process I feel everyone (answering the phones, intake, the veterinarian doctors, etc) is extremely supportive, compassionate, and effective. I still believe my previous vetenarian clinic was full of knowledgeable and loving animal people, but cambridge cat clinic has been a wonderful step above for cat-specific care.

Couldn't recommend this clinic more. Everyone there is so friendly and sweet to my cats (and me!) Dr. Levine is great at explaining everything without talking down to you or being too technical.

I highly recommend Cambridge Cat Clinic for all your cat's vet needs! Dr. Widman and Dr. Levine are seriously great at what they do. They're both very knowledgeable and explain things clearly. The vet tech team is also amazing! This practice was recommended by my previous vet (out of state) and CCC has exceeded all of my expectations. I'm in regularly with a senior kitty and much less frequently for my younger cat. They both receive exceptional care here!

Fantastic place all around! I have been a cat owner for my entire life and this is the best vet I've ever had across multiple states and moves. They are very polite, knowledgeable, and obviously care about feline health. Would highly recommend especially if you want specialized care for cats.

Dr. Levine and Dr. Widman are the absolute best! So glad they partnered up and opened the clinic. I met them both at Boston Cat Hospital. They are incredibly smart, honest, caring and compassionate. They understand how much we love our animals and they love them just as much and take the time to explain everything thoroughly. They make a fantastic team. Kudos to the staff as well! Always polite and professional.

My wife and I have started bringing our cat to Cambridge Cat Clinic recently and our experience has been great. We love that they are a vet focused on cats and they have all been super friendly and great to work with.

We’ve been using Dr Widman for 10 years now - some of the cats she helped us care for are gone. You will never find another vet who knows cats as well as she does. Just one example - she helped us give our beloved doctor Wilson a few more quality months by telling us to preheat his subcutaneous fluids in a warm water bath. Imagine how he felt getting room temperature fluids (68 degrees) - he hated it but warmed up - he accepted the fluids quite happily. I’m always learning from her. I can not recommend her enough.

I can't sing the praises of this clinic enough. First, I love a small vet and a cat-only vet, as the busier and dog-filled vet clinics can be really agitating to our cats. Second, I have been so impressed with the care and commitment of the team there. We've worked with Dr. Levine and at multiple points she consulted over phone and via email when they were too busy to schedule a visit for an issue that could be managed remotely. I've felt safe with their covid-19 protocols when we did need to go in. I know as of now they are still taking new patients, and you should definitely take advantage of that! If we ever leave the area, losing this vet will really be a loss we grieve! And I must strongly object with the small number of reviews on here commenting negatively about their receptionist. I've only ever interacted with one (I think the only one at the practice), and have experienced this person to be professional, efficient, and kind. They seem like a cat lover, which of course is valuable! Also I know pet care can be expensive because it's not covered by insurance (for those of us who don't carry pet insurance), and certainly this clinic is no different, in that the expense can add up, but I've appreciated that I never feel price gouged or ripped off. Their prices seem matched to their level and location of service!

I brought my kitty here for the first time today and I was very pleased! The staff was so kind and welcoming. I could tell the doctor knew what she was talking about!! Since this vet is cats only, the doctors seem to know much more about cats than veterinarians who see a bunch of different animals, which makes sense. I’m very glad I brought my fur baby here!

Yesterday, I switched vets to Cambridge Cat Clinic (from Porter Square Vet) and I'm so glad I did. When I called, the front desk staff were warm and friendly. The vet then spent an hour talking to me! The vet went through my cat's records and immediately focused on my cat's weight loss. She informed me that the kidney disease wouldn't cause weight loss but his GI inflammation meant he wasn't getting nutrition. Oh! I wish I had known that sooner. She suggested a gastric biopsy to definitively figure out the cause, but because it's a surgery we decided to start treating it as inflammation with steroids and b12 injections right away. If the treatment fails then it's likely to be leukemia. I feel that with Cambridge Cat Clinic, I have an expert on my side. They are focusing on the right treatments and tests. Through out it all, they are being friendly, patient, and compassionate. Go to Cambridge Cat Clinic.

My cat and I were very pleased by the patient care. The veterinarian was very pleasant and thorough. She DID NOT try to guilt me into services, as other clinics in the area have tried. Likewise, the front desk personnel were great. Evidently the word is out because the phone was ringing nonstop.???? I was offered drop off service and though a bit more in cost, it was worth it in our COVID-19 world. ????

Cambridge Cat Clinic was an absolute joy to visit with my senior cat. They gave me great advice about how to help my cat gain weight and tips on how to maintain her health with kidney disease. Esther at the front desk is very competent and organized which is greatly appreciated! I’d recommend this clinic to any cat owner.

Friendly staff, good location. And they only see cats so mine doesn't freak out around dogs in waiting room. Professionals, thank you for working during these times, you are very much appreciated.

We moved to Boston this spring with a senior cat, and the folks at Cambridge Cat Clinic have been amazing. It's very reassuring to have a feline focused veterinarian in Dr Widmer and I think our cat is getting the best care he has in his life!

I’ve had an excellent experience here. The staff is incredibly organized and on top of it (they tracked down my adopted kittens previous medical history for me) and everyone is extremely pleasant, friendly, and patient. I feel like I can trust the doctor who I saw, Dr. Levine, as she really took her time thoroughly examining the kittens and explaining her recommendations to me. Also, I was in and out in 45 minutes and there was no wait (I actually was seen a bit earlier since I had arrived early). I am very satisfied and will be back in the future!

This is an excellent practice! My kitty is epically dramatic with anything travel related and very openly spiteful of anyone that isn't me (except when we go to the vet, then she understandably hates me too). It's made routine care and establishing a regular vet difficult. Now that I've mastered the art of wrangling this adorable ball of fury with daggers out into a carrier, I wanted to find a practice that could best handle her attitude without compromising care and Cambridge Cat Clinic did not disappoint. Dr. Levine and Dr. Widman are exactly what I've been searching for all these years. I've had vets back off certain things when my kitty pulled her stuff, not a worry here. They both expertly and kindly handled my cat in spite of her tantrums, understood her behavior I think better than I did and corrected some major dental problems requiring surgery seemingly with ease. Everyone on their team is incredibly kind, skilled and professional. They provide really effective solutions and advice for a variety of issues. Their receptionist and techs are outstanding. Facility is super clean and they're navigating Covid prevention measures carefully. Just a really well run practice with a solid team of expert cat lovers! My kitty is so much happier now and I'm forever grateful for the awesome experience and care we receive here. I regret not finding them sooner. Thank you Cambridge Cat Clinic team!

I will have to agree with the multiple previous comments about the receptionist being a nightmare to work with. I checked their website, which look super welcoming and deliberately said they were accepting new clients. So I called hoping to make an appointment for my kitten. The lady who answered the phone kept saying no no no. Vaccination? No, our earliest appointment will be too late for your animal. Ok, how about health check? No! Micro chipping? No! Spraying/neuturing? No! All I got from this receptionist was no no no! Basically they don't want to see us and they are turning away all business. I was hoping to establish a relationship with this clinic as I live nearby and the vets seem to have got great reviews. But hiring such a receptionist who kept saying unreasonable no's is the biggest mistake for the vets as business owners to make.

Professional. Reliable. Communicative. Safe. Took my kitten for the first time for a booster shot and routine testing after adoption, and Dr. Kimberly was very gentle and talked me through everything she was doing. When we checked out, we even got to take a toy for free. It's been my kitty's absolute favorite toy!

I don't have enough good things to say about this place. They caught a scary condition that my kitten was having and basically saved his life. In the process, they were (and continue to be) compassionate, communicative, and available - even calling when my kitten was in the hospital to see how he was doing. I started going here because it was convenient, but I would continue even if it wasn't. They are also all the nicest people, and offer helpful behavioral advice / general cat wisdom. Highly recommend.
